January 17, 2012 (La Mesa)— The City of La Mesa is serving up “10 and Under Tennis”  for kids.  This is a new method using the QuickStart format to learn the game of tennis in a fun, fast, and effective way. Kids will use shorter lighter rackets, slower and lower-bouncing balls, smaller court dimensions and modified scoring systems tailored to the age and size of the child.

10andUnder Tennis creates opportunities for kids to learn to rally and play immediately and quickly develop skills, strategies and discover a world of FUN fitness! It’s great for the whole family?

The nine-week session begins the week of February 6. Classes are held at the newly renovated tennis courts at La Mesita Park and funded by USTA and American Express Fresh Courts Program. La Mesita Park is located at 8855 Dallas Street, La Mesa, 91942.
