2 INJURED IN FIRE AT LA MESA CONDO

May 25, 2011 (La Mesa)-- Firefighters from Heartland Fire & Rescue in La Mesa responded to a fire last night at 9:56 p.m. in the 5700 Block of Baltimore Drive. Upon arrival, the second floor condo was well involved in fire and the fire was extending to the third floor. 

 

Two residents were transported to the hospital, one from injuries related to the fire and one from injuries related to a fall during the fire.

 

Two units sustained heavy fire damage, and four others sustained smoke damage, according to Heartland. Several residents have been displaced as a result and they are being assisted by the Red Cross.

 

An estimate on fire loss has not been made yet and the fire is under investigation.
