900-ACRE FIRE BURNING IN RIVERSIDE COUNTY

May 21, 2010 (Riverside) – Cal-Fire reports a 900-acre fire is burning in Riverside County east of Corona. The fire, which is 70% contained at 4 p.m. today, was caused by equipment mowing. Full containment is expected at 6 p.m. tonight.

Twenty engines, 120 firefighters and a helicopter are currently battling the blaze. One firefighter has sustained a minor ankle injury. For more details, see Cal-Fire’s incident page at http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/incidents/incidents_current.
