March 7, 2012 (Spring Valley) -- The classic novel by Mark Twain is brought to stage in song and dance at the Encore! Theatre at 9620 Campo Road, Spring Valley, on March 16 – 25. Performances will be at 7 p.m. on March 16, 17, 23, 24 and at 2 p.m. on March 17, 18, 24, 25.
This musical version of Mark Twain's novel is set in 1840 in St. Petersburg, Missouri, a bustling town on the banks of the Mississippi River. In the course of the story, Tom matches wits with his stern Aunt Polly, falls in love with the beautiful, feisty, Becky Thatcher, and goes on the adventure of his life with Becky and that irresistible renegade, Huckleberry Finn. Along the way, he meets a terrifying villain named Injun Joe, Tom's bratty half-brother Sid, and all of the other boys and girls in the village.
Tickets are $12 and $15, plus a ticketing fee.
