March 7, 2011 (Lakeside) – Stanley Virgil Lloyd Jr. has been arrested in connection with the murder of Christopher Carioscia (Younghusband). San Diego Sheriff announces that Lloyd was taken into custody on March 4 at his residence at 1211 Quincy Canyon Road in Lakeside and has been booked into the San Diego Central Jail.

Carioscia was found shot multiple times in a remote area of the Barona reservation on December 4th. The El Capitan High School student disappeared October 26th after telling family members he was going surfing in Pacific Beach. His burned vehicle was found the next day at Barona.

The victim's father, Chris Carioscia Sr., said Sheriff's deputies told him that his son had been shot nine times and that he was apparently shot over a dispute about a small amount of money owed, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Carioscia said Lloyd was a longtime acquaintance of his son’s, possibly since elementary school. He said they were not friends. “He’s ruined my family and his family too,” the victim's father told the Union-Tribune.
