ARRESTS MADE IN SPRING VALLEY HOME INVASION

October 21, 2013 (Spring Valley )—Two suspects are in custody in connection with  home invasion robbery in Spring Valley.   Michael Colace, 46, and Terri Franck, 39,  are accused of robbery, residential burglary, auto theft, false imprisonment, kidnapping, elder abuse and assault with a deadly weapon.

On October 17th at 4:30 a.m. Colace and Franck allegedly robbed a 7/11 store in La Mesa. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Greg Hampton, they then burglarized a home in La Mesa while the victim slept and stole a 2005 White Chrysler Town & Country.

At 9:00 a.m., the pair approached a 69-year-old man outside his home in the 9000 block of Crest Drive in Spring Valley. Franck asked to use the phone and pushed the man into the garage. The victim was tied up and his home was ransacked.

The suspects then took the man's 2000 white Nissan Frontier truck and left the stolen Town & Country van in the garage.

The victim was able to free himself and call 911. Detectives from the Lemon Grove Sheriff's Station responded and were able to identify the suspects as Colace and Franck. The Fugitive Task Force (FTF) joined the investigation and arrested Colace and Franck on October 19th at 6:00 p.m. in Carlsbad.

Colace's bail is set at $600,000. Franck's bail is set at $500,000. They will appear in El Cajon Court on Wednesday, October 23rd.
