ART DAYS: CELEBRATE ART IN LEMON GROVE

May 12, 2017 (Lemon Grove) – The Lemon Grove Library at 3001 School Lane in Lemon Grove is hosting “Art Days: Celebrate Art in the Grove!”  The series opens with a lecture May 15th on the marvelous murals of Lemon Grove.

Additional upcoming events include an opportunity for teens to created melted crayon art, a preschool art show, and after school art. Scroll down for full details.

Monday, May 15 at 1:30 PM: Lecture on the Murals of Lemon Grove

Listen to a fascinating lecture on the beautiful murals to be spotted around town! Presented by Helen Ofield of the Lemon Grove Historical Society and renowned muralist Kathleen Strzelecki.

Tuesday, May 16 at 4:00 PM: Teen Melted Crayon Art

Create your own melted crayon art masterpiece. Sign up required. Grades 6-12.

Wednesday, May 17 at 4:30: Preschool Art Show

Enjoy an art display from Lemon Grove’s littlest artists.

Thursday, May 18 at 4:00 PM: After School Art

Create a masterpiece in the style of a famous artist. Grades 1-5.

Friday, May 19 at 5:30: After Hours Art for Grown Ups

Create a beautiful painting suitable to hang on your wall. No artistic talent necessary. Light refreshments will be provided; sign up required.

Saturday, May 20 at 1:00-3:00: Family Art Fest

Join us for creative expressions of all types, for all ages! From painting to succulent plating to clock creation, there will be a variety of explorative art options
