September 8, 2018 (Lakeside) – Barona Resort & Casino recently unveiled The Creamery, a 1932-era ice cream shop serving super-premium, incredibly delicious house-made ice cream. It is the latest eatery to be unveiled as part of Barona’s Welcome Home expansion.

“Ice cream has been a best-seller at our Feisty Kate’s burger and malt shop for many years,” said Ed Fasulo, Vice President of Food and Beverage. “With premium ice cream all the rage across the country, our Welcome Home expansion gave us an opportunity to create a new space to scoop up our own brand of extra-creamy ice cream, sundaes and milk shakes. Our chefs have been working to create the perfect recipe for months and came up with the richest, creamiest ice cream in town…just like the old days when ice cream was churned with lots of cream and butterfat.”

Barona’s Creamery offers a delicious variety of traditional ice cream flavors, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, plus nearly thirty rotating flavors such as cinnamon bun, salted caramel and chocolate malted crunch. All the generously sized scoops are available in cups, cones and waffle cones. The ultra-creamy, high-butterfat content ice cream is churned fresh each day using local cream and fresh fruit from area farms.

The Creamery also offers players soft-serve ice cream and yogurt, milk shakes, classic banana splits, ice cream sodas, floats and malts always served up with a smile. A signature sundae made with a slice of marble pound cake, piled with the super-premium ice cream, topped with either hot fudge or fresh strawberries, covered with whipped cream and a cherry on top is a menu highlight.

Barona’s award-winning chefs are also developing a selection of original flavors and ice cream based creations that will change with the seasons.

And, as no ice cream shop would be complete without a selection of old-fashioned candy, The Creamery sells nostalgic sweets including Necco wafers, Sugar Daddies, saltwater taffy, malted milk balls and more.

The Creamery is open from 10 a.m. to midnight Sundays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
