Social networking, digital movies and photo editing on the agenda

April 12, 2010 -- Want to learn technical skills for effective use of media? Walter Davis, founder of Marketing Strategies of California and the Citizens Internet TV Network, is offering a free technology class April 13 from10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sudanese Community Center, 4077 Fairmont Avenue in San Diego. Classes are free, though a donation of $5 to $10 is suggested.

“Our technology class is designed to help activists develop technical skills germane to effective use of media. We will be discussing video vaults, green screen technology, uploading and editing videos,” says Davis. “We are expanding our days and times for technology training to allow more activists to attend, thanks to the leadership at the Sudanese Community Center.
Topics for this session will include social network training and digital movie/photo editing training. Learn about Facebook, Twitter, Delicious, Meetup, Blogger, Myspace, BLIP.TV, webconferencing and teleconferencing.
Bring your laptop if you have one, or use computers at the center, or follow along by viewing projected images on a screen.
