May 28, 2015 (Santee) – The body of a 54-year-old woman was found May 25th afternoon at the Rodeway Inn at 10135 Mission Gorge Road in Santee.
A deputy from the Santee Sheriff’s station was on patrol near the site when he was flagged down by a citizen who reported that there was a “person down” at the hotel, Lt. Jeffrey Duckworth says.
Deputies found the woman deceased inside a hotel room.
“Suspicious circumstances at the scene dictated a response from the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail, the Sheriff’s Santee Station, and the Sheriff’s Crime Laboratory,” Lt. Duckworth added.
