June 13, 2010 (Bonita) – Rodolfo Leal, 47, of Bonita died yesterday from injuries sustained in an accident on Otay Mesa Road at Britannica Boulevard. Leal was driving a red Toyota Corolla sedan westbound on Otay Mesa Road (SR-905) at 2:48 a.m. when he lost control, veered off the roadway and struck a light standard.
Fire personnel extricated him from his vehicle and began resuscitative efforts, but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Leal, who was married, lived with his family in an apartment in Bonita.
San Diego Police Department is investigating the accident.
