BURGLAR ARRESTED AFTER AWAKENING HOMEOWNERS IN LA MESA

April 25, 2010 (La Mesa) – Homeowners in the 4300 block of Merritt Boulevard in La Mesa got a surprise wake-up call shortly after 2 a.m. this morning, when a burglar turned on their bedroom light. One of the homeowners called 911 while the other confronted the prowler.

 

When La Mesa police arrived, the man was exiting the house. Antonio Renojjuarez, 21, of Los Angeles was taken into custody without incident and property belonging to the residents was recovered. The suspect was transported to County jail and charged with residential burglary.
