September 29, 2011 (La Mesa)—La Mesa Police have arrested Damu Lucas, 20, and Victoria Gonzalez, 19. The pair has been charged with three residential burglaries that occurred on Thorne Drive and Saranac Place the morning of September 27.
According to police, a witness pointed out the suspects, still in the area, to an LMPD Community Service Officer who immediately relayed the information to police dispatchers. Patrol officers responded and stopped the suspects as they attempted to flee in a vehicle. Stolen property from the burglaries was recovered, police said.
Lucas was booked into San Diego County Jail; Gonzalez was booked into Las Colinas Detention Facility in Santee.
