June 16, 2010 (San Diego’s East County) – Cal-Fire has issued a no-burn proclamation for all areas within San Diego County for which Cal-Fire is responsible. This includes all unincorporated areas of the County and parklands, but excludes incorporated cities.

Exceptions include campfires in campground facilities open to the public , outdoor fireplaces on private property, and burning for agricultural or fuels reduction purposes if a smoke management plan is on file.

The no-burn order takes effect today and will remain in effect indefinitely due to high-fire risk conditions.
