CAMPUS POLICE WARN OF STRONG ARM ROBBERY ATTEMPT

March 11, 2014 (San Diego) – San Diego State University police warn that on March 8 at 1:50 a.m., three male suspects attempted to steal an SDSU student’s wallet, but were unsuccessful.  The victim met the suspects earlier in the evening and they were walking near the Open Air Theatre on campus when the incident occurred. The victim sustained minor injuries from being punched and kicked during the attempted robbery.

The suspects fled the area on foot and were last seen heading towards the College Avenue footbridge.  Below are descriptions of the suspects.

Suspect #1: African American male adult, approximately 5’8” tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, possibly goes by the name “Cameo.” 

Suspect #2: White male adult, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and black earrings and possibly goes by the name of “Tyler.” 

Suspect #3: African American male adult, approximately 6’0” tall with a goatee, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, possibly goes by the name of “Chris.” 

Remember to be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious activity to police by dialing 594-1991 or 9-1-1.
