CANDIDATE FORUMS SET FOR LA MESA AND LAKESIDE RACES, LEGISLATIVE CANDIDATES AND MORE

September 30, 2014 (San Diego’s East County)--There are several candidate forums coming up this week featuring East County Candidates.

On Wednesday, October 1st, the League of Women Voters will host a Meet the Candidates reception from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park.  This free event will feature candidates for state legislative offices representing San Diego and East County, as well as San Diego City Council, Superior Court Judge, San Diego Unified and San Diego Community College districts. Candidates will each make introductory statements and there will be time for networking and asking questions of candidates in an informal atmosphere.

A forum for La Mesa City Council and Mayoral candidates will be held on Tuesday, October 7th from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  This event will be held at the La Mesa United Methodist Church social hall at the intersection of La Mesa Boulevard and Palm Avenue. 

Lakeside Candidate Night will be Thursday, October 9th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds.  This non-partisan event is open to all candidates running to represent Lakeside including school boards, fire boards, planning boards, water boards, and higher offices as well as local ballot initiative campaigns.
