April 26, 2016 (Spring Valley) - A car hit a fire hydrant in Spring Valley on Monday and the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene, KUSI reports.

Deputies responded to the scene around 9:00 p.m. on Monday.  Witnesses say the vehicle sped down a hill, lost control and hit the hydrant, causing a geyser to erupt.  The driver and passenger then fled the scene.

The vehicle is described as a white sedan.  Sheriff's deputies are asking anyone with information to contact the San Diego Sheriff's Department.
