CHAMBER TO HOST CANDIDATES FOR 36th STATE SENATE AND 77th ASSEMBLY SEATS JUNE 1st IN EL CAJON

May 31, 2010 (El Cajon) -- The San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce will present its“Conversations with the Candidates” legislative dinner on June 1st. All candidates running for the 36th Senate seat and the 77th Assembly district have been invited. Both are important electoral positions for the East County community and both are open seats this election cycle.

 

The 36th Senate seat, which encompasses all of Eastern San Diego and a good portion of Riverside County as well, is open due to now Senator Dennis Hollingsworth (R-Murrieta) being term limited from office. The 77th Assembly seat, currently represented by Assemblyman Joel Anderson (R-Alpine), is opening up due to Anderson’s ambitions for the 36th Senate seat. The forum is to be held from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 at the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1812, 1400 E. Washington Ave., El Cajon. Vic Salazar, former long term San Diego News Anchor and East County resident, will moderate the forum.

 

Cost for the forum, which includes dinner being served by Rita’s Mexican Food & Catering, Inc, is $25 if pre-reserved & $35 at the door. The public is welcome, and encouraged to attend. Please RSVP by May 28, 2010.
