January 31, 2011 (Santee) – Two-year-old Ethan Miller, son of Darren and Christie Miller in Santee, has neuroblastoma cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. A charity golf event will be held on Thursday, April 7th at Cottonwood Golf Course in Rancho San Diego to benefit Ethan Miller and his family.

Both parents are active in the community and alumni of Santana High School. Their two older children attend Cajon Park Elementary.

“Please help in any way that you can, either donations, sponsorships, or golf,” says Nicole Thompson, whose son was coached by Darren Miller.

Brandi Vesco, a family friend who is organizing the fundraiser, says Ethan Miller is undergoing his second round of chemotherapy. “His strength is encouraging and is my driving force for this fundraiser,” she says, adding that the family faces financial struggles that make their battle to save their son even more daunting.

The golf event will be a four-person shotgun scramble starting at 1 p.m. Entry fee is $120 per person/$420 per foursome and includes green fee, range balls, cart, dinner, raffle and a goodie for all golfers. Golfers may invite a guest to dinner for $30. Happy hour is 5-6 p.m. with dinner and raffle at 6:30 (carne asada, chicken enchiladas, rice and beans, salad and dessert).

Prizes include a putting contest, par 3, and awards for first and second place and longest drive.

To register, mail check and list of players to The Miller Family, 10171 West Glendon Circle, Santee, CA 92071. For questions, contact Brandi Vesco at (619)562-2055 or brandivesco@att.net.
