November 9, 2011 (San Diego's East County)--The staff at San Pasqual Winery invite you to honor present and past service men and women by participating in “A Toast to Our Veterans.”

"In the past, we've been pleased to offer our service men and women a complimentary glass of wine on Veterans Day," a press release from the winery states. "This year we're expanding that privilege to our friends and fans. Beginning this Friday, and for the following week, if you would like to purchase a glass of wine for an active service person or veteran you know – or one you don’t – here’s your opportunity. For $10, we'll reserve a glass of wine for a service person in your name (or toast anonymously if you wish). We'll even contact them for you if you'd like."

For each Toast purchased, San Pasqual Winery will donate $5 to the San Diego Alpha Project, specifically designating the money for programs supporting our homeless veterans. In addition, the winer will offer gift certificates for wine tastings during “Toast to our Veterans” week,  with half the proceeds going to the Alpha Project.

San Pasqual Winery features traditional wines as well as some unique items. Click for ECM reader coupons for free tastes of a spicy Habanera wine or a Passionfruit wine, your choice.
