BALLET FOLKLORICO EN AZTLAN PRESENTS TRIBUTE TO HERMINIA, FLOR & CANTO AUG. 6

August 5, 2011 (San Diego) – On August 6 at 7 p.m., Ballet Folkorico en Aztlan Dance Theatre Company and Academy will present “The Herminia Tribute: Flor y Canto 2011” at the Joe and Vi Jacobs Center, 404 Euclid Avenue. The program will celebrate the dance, songs and insight in the life of artist Herminia Acosta Enrique Tecihtzin and her legacy of excellence.

“Viviana continues the BFA tradition of preserving and sharing our culture, creating a link from our ancestors to the next seven generations,” the event flyer states. The performance features 10 regions plus special guest author Dr. Norma Cantu.

Tickets cost $10 in advance (under age 8 free) through August 5 at 5 pm or $15 at the door. A dinner plate is available for an additional $6.
