August 5, 2018 (Lakeside) – Deb Carney Carlson is an administrator for the Brush Fire Partyline, donating her time to post fire alerts to keep others safe. Now her daughter, Tara, is fighting for her life – and needs help from the public.

Tara urgently needs a kidney match from a donor under age 37 in good health, with type “O” or type “A” blood.  She also needs funds since her medical insurance is not covering some essential health needs including oxygen and Procrit for red blood cells.

Tara has been living with kidney disease since she was 9 years old. She has already been through one kidney transplant -- that transplant has now failed. She is on dialysis and has been hospitalized for 8 of the last 12 weeks.

Tara’s mom has started a GoFundMe page but to date has raised only about $10,000 of the $25,000 needed. You can help by making a donation here:  https://www.gofundme.com/tara-carlsons-kidney-transplant
