The Local Power Channel on TheECOreport.com Will Be Dedicated to Locally Run Utilities (Community Choice Aggregation/CCA's), and Democratic Energy Initiatives.

April 3, 2015 (San Franciso and Vancouver): The ECOreport (http://theecoreport.com/) has partnered with Local Power, Inc., inventor of community choice aggregation (CCA), in a web based education initiative to inform communities about the benefits of CCA's to enable locally controlled electric power, rapidly scaled up renewable technologies, and dramatically increased energy efficiency. The Local Power Channel, on the ECOreport website, will be dedicated to education and information about the topic of community choice aggregation.

The Local Power Channel puts this subject into the broader context of how renewables fit into the American landscape, city by city, state by state, making people aware of the role they need to play in the adoption of community based electricity resources.

Communities may now take responsibility for the percentage of renewables in their electricity mix, by forming their own utilities. This also gives them the freedom to use local energy resources more democratically. We’re evolving the landscape away from a strict reliance on centralized utility domination, to let people decide what they want. The ECOreport and Local Power Inc. are taking a leadership role to provide education to the next generation so that more renewable electricity can be provided to more people, more efficiently, than ever before.

Universities, research organizations, governments and corporations can access the information they want, across the board, with relation to localized energy, and come to understand how community choice aggregation and Local Power Inc. fit into the big picture.
