EL CAJON POLICE SEEK SUSPECT WHO SHOT MAN AT LOCAL INN

February 6, 2010 (El Cajon) – Police are seeking a suspect who is believed to have shot and wounded a man at the Ha’Penny Inn, 1529 East Main Street in El Cajon, early this morning. The suspect is described as a black male adult, clean shaven with neck-length braided hair. The shooter is in his early 20s, 5 ft. 8 to 5 ft. 9 inches, medium build, and was last seen wearing a black Versace leather jacket, white long T-shirt and jeans, according to witnesses.

 

Officers responded to a 911 call at 6:50 a.m. and found the victim, who was shot in the leg and arm. The suspect had fled the scene and his whereabouts are unknown. The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics. His injuries are not considered life-threatening and he is in stable condition, El Cajon Police Lt. J.D. Arvan advises.

 

According to witnesses, the suspect and victim may know each other and were possibly involved in an altercation in the court yard of the hotel prior to the shooting, police report. The victim is in stable condition and his injuries are not considered life threatening.
