March 12, 2010 (Fallbrook) – Todd Norton, 43, of Fallbrook has been arrested for threatening to harm his wife and shoot up her house after she reported him to authorities for possession of child pornography, according to the San Diego Sheriff’s office.

On March 8, Norton’s wife told authorities she left to initiate divorce proceedings after she found her husband viewing child pornography on his home computer, including sexually explicit movies involving girls as young as eight or ten years old. She also told authorities Norton left threatening and harassing messages on her mobile phone claiming he would shoot up her home if she took custody of their child.

On March 11, a search was conducted of Norton’s home which confirmed he had downloaded child pornography videos and still photography. His computer was seized for a more detailed exam of hard drives and deleted files.

Norton was arrested and taken into custody for threats against his wife and a friend. He has also been charged with possession of child pornography. He was booked into Vistas Detention Facility with bail of $50,000.
