August 31, 2011 ( San Diego) – The San Diego Police Officers Association, Inc. (SDPOA) is grieving the loss of Officer Christopher Blakeley, who died in an off-duty motorcycle accident on Aug. 24.
“We are once again mourning the loss of one of our own,” said Brian R. Marvel, President of the San Diego Police Officers Association. “Officer Blakeley’s tragic death is a loss to the Department, and we will deeply miss our friend and colleague. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”
A fund has been established by the San Diego Pan Pacific Law Enforcement Association to assist the family with funeral expenses. Officer Blakeley is survived by his mother, Christine Blakeley and brother, Derrick Blakeley.
