June 22, 2016 (Santee) - In Santee, summertime means it’s time to grab a beach chair or blanket and head down to the outdoor performance stage to hear live music at Town Center Community Park East, 550 Park Center Drive.

Now in its 33rd year, the 10-concert series features live performances by different bands each week most Thursdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m. between June 16 and Aug. 25 (There’s no concert on Thursday, July 7 because of the Santee Salutes 4” of July Celebration).

“This is what parks are made for: Having tons of people coming out to enjoy themselves at a  public space,” said Special Events Supervisor Bree Humphrey. “Our mission is to build  community, so we’re proud that our concerts bring neighbors, friends and families together for a few hours of carefree fun.”

Food trucks will be present at each concert, so you can buy dinner or bring your own picnic.

The free community concerts are made possible by event sponsors: City of Santee, Barona Resort & Casino, Waste Management, Cox Communications, Pardee Homes, Santee Community Foundation, Watt Communities and Allegiance Heating & Air Conditioning.
