October 15, 2011 (La Mesa) --  Readers, Inc., a children's book store in the heart of La Mesa Village,  will hold a Spooky Children’s Poetry event on Monday, October 17 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. for children aged 10 and up. Meet Author Laura Wynkoop and her book, An Eyeball in My Garden. Author-signed books will be available at a special event price of $15.00.

RSVPs are requested and refreshments will be available.

 

 

 


Laura Wynkoop writes poetry, fiction, nonfiction, puzzles, and crafts for children and also writes lesson plans and activities for early childhood educators.  She is a children's writer who dabbles in many different genres; her favorite thing to write is poetry. In college, she studied to become a teacher and taught for seven years; she is now published in numerous magazines, as well as, several books.

Readers, Inc., is an independent, local family owned book  evolved after years of the owner volunteering at school book fairs. “There is an indescribable energy that comes about when helping children select their next book; and their next adventure,” she says.
