December 2, 2014 (San Diego)--General Motors has ordered a recall of over 300,000 vehicles because of headlights that stop working.  The low-beams may turn off intermittently or permanently, increasing the risk of an accident.

The recalled models were made in 2006 through 2009 and include the Buick LaCross sedan, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender SUVs.

Dealers will replace the defective headlights free for vehicle owners.

If your low beams do fail, be aware that this defect does not affect high beams.

General Motors has had numerous defects in its cars, trucks and SUVs.  So far this year, the auto maker has had 79 different recalls, affecting over 30 million vehicles.
