GO WILD! 15th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT THE SAN DIEGO NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE APRIL 10

April 7, 2011 (Rancho San Diego)—Bring the family to visit with live native animals, join a guided nature hike, get free art and photography lessons, view a firetruck and more this Sunday, April 10.

 

Festivities to celebrate the 15th birthday of the San Diego National Wildlife Refugee will take place near the old steel bridge on Highway 94 at Singer Lane in Rancho San Diego from 1-5 p.m.
 

Schedule of events:

 

 

1-5 p.m.: Connecting kids and nature, free art and photography activities for children will be offered.
 

 

2-4 p.m.: See live nature animals from the Chula Vista Nature brought to the site, plus learn about native birds of prey in our area.
 

1:30 and 4 p.m.: Join a biologist on a guided nature hike through native habitats.
 

2 p.m. See a Refuge fire truck and meet “Puddles”, the Refuge blue goose “mascot.”
