October 21, 2010 (Julian) -- On Sunday, October 31, at 5:00 p.m. Jeremy’s on the Hill California-Style Bistro teams up with Stone Brewing Company to host a five-course Beer Pairing. The event will feature local produce and ingredients, as well as specialty hops and at least one course featuring grass fed American bison from Star B Buffalo Ranch and Hops Farm.

Guests are invited to wear Halloween Costumes (if they dare….) and prizes will be awarded.

All courses will be expertly paired by chef Jeremy Manley of Jeremy’s on the Hill. Tickets are $55 per person and seating is limited for this second annual event.

“Last year, we hosted a Halloween wine pairing event featuring Menghini Winery, where Mike and Toni Menghini were dressed as “Killer Bees,” becoming one of our top costume winners,” said Teresa Manley.

“We really enjoy hosting different wine and beer pairing events, and by popular request, we have been hosting a different pairing event every month for the past year featuring local wineries and breweries,” said Chef Jeremy Manley.

The last beer pairing event we hosted sold out in a week, so early reservations are recommended.

Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens has over 32 craft and specialty beers on tap as well as an extensive wine list and has a seating capacity of 385. “One of my favorite places to eat when I’m not at the restaurant is at Stone Bistro as we share a similar philosophy utilizing local, small-farm organic produce as much as possible,” Chef Manley added.

Jeremy’s on the Hill features California Fresh Cuisine and is highly recognized in both San Diego and Los Angeles areas, with publicized reviews in Edible San Diego, Dining Out Magazine, LA Times, the San Diego Reader and the Ramona Sentinel. Chef Jeremy Manley, 23, and a Cordon Bleu graduate, has been working with food and cooking since the age of ten.

Established in 1979, family owned and operated Star B Ranch raises top quality Buffalo breeding stock and produces a line of Grass Fed Bison meat. The 1,200 acre property is located in the Witch Creek area of Ramona along scenic Highway 78 in San Diego County. In January 2009, Star B Ranch built and planted a 2 acre hop field with the intention to use the hops for making beer. Three varieties; Cascade, Nugget and Willamette were planted with a full crop expected in two years. “The entire Star B Ranch family is excited to participate in this unique event,” said Ken Childs of Star B Ranch.

Reservations and tickets can be purchased by calling Jeremy’s on the Hill at 760-765-1587.
