June 17, 2014 (Lemon Grove) – Soon, Lemon Grove’s Main Street will be transformed in a concept that will be unveiled n the new future.  The public is invited to a planning party on June 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lemon Grove Community Center, 3146 School Lane.

Connecting Main Street aims to transform the two-mile stretch from Broadway south to the City border into a beautiful, safe, comfortable place for folks to socialize, walk, run, push a stroller, bike and connect with neighborhoods and history through the heart of Lemon Grove.

“What would you like to see along the way?  How can we make this linear park work for all of us?  Especially those living on or near Main Street,” says Helen Ofield, president of the Lemon Grove Historical Society.  “This is community participation and planning at its best, so, don't miss this opportunity to bring family and neighbors to interact with City planners and leadership.”
