March 17, 2015 (San Diego's East County) - Our office mascots have been mischievious.  Our editor discovered her phone unplugged and her answering machine messages erased! Rex, our cat with a personality like Garfield, is the principal suspect, thought the dog did have a slightly guilty expression...must be the spirit of the leprechauns!

If you left a message and did not get a call back, please call us again at 619-698-7617 or for longer messages, please e-mail editor@eastcountymagazine.org.  (Thankfully these little rascals have not yet figured out how to delete e-mails...we hope.)

One could write a good story on pet-office fiascos.

I had a friend whose cat peed on the laptop keyboard and ruined it. Of course the dog doubles as a burglar alarm, and both cat and dog provide stress relief at times...tough to be too upset about office hassles when you have purring cat curled up in your lap or a loyal and adoring dog close by. On the other hand, I recently had to have a computer repair, only to find a wad of fur clogging the fan!

Your cat is obviously not "Tech Support"! My answer device has battery back-up.
