Oct. 18 deadline to register to vote; Oct. 26 deadline to apply for mail-in ballot

October 12, 2010 (San Diego)--There is less than one week left to register to vote in the November 2 Gubernatorial General Election and voters can fill out their registration form online at the Registrar of Voters’ site, www.sdvote.com.

“Online voter registration makes the process more convenient for voters, and it also ensures that the information on the form is complete, easy to read and accurate when we enter it into our system,” said Deborah Seiler, Registrar of Voters.

Residents who want to vote should keep the following deadlines in mind:

• Monday, October 18 – Deadline to Register to Vote: Residents need to fill out a registration form if they are not currently registered, would like to change their party affiliation, have recently moved or changed their name.
