March 23,2015 (San Diego) – The Islamic State terrorist group known as ISIS or ISIL has issued a hit list of 100 American military men and women, including three San Diego-based service members, 10 News reports.
The group published photos and addresses, encouraging lone wolf strikes against targeted individuals.
The Department of Defense has reportedly contacted all of the families listed and warned them about the threats.
Military members and their families are urged to use caution in what they post on social media sites, which is where military officials believe the information was obtained, though ISIS claims to have hacked into a federal database.
