November 9, 2015 (ElCajon)—The sign-up is now open for Jingle Paws, an annual holiday walk to benefit the El Cajon Animal Shelter through ACES, an organization that funds surgeries for shelter pets and helps meet other needs.  You can sign up online to walk with your pet at https://www.crowdrise.com/JINGLEPAWSWALKFORPETS2015 or arrive early and register at the event.

This year, Jingle Paws will be held at the beautiful Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College on December 5th.

A special collectible light-up holiday ornament will be given to the first 250 walkers. The event also features  photos with Santa, a pet/owner costume contest, doggie vendors, animal rescue groups, silent auction, raffles and prizes, as well as music by Jumpin’ Jack Flash and more.  Registration is from 8-9 a.m.  A blessing of walkers and animals will be held at 9 a.m., followed by warm-up with Leash Your Fitness at 9:15 a.m. and a fun walk or 1K/5K route from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon.

Registration ranges from $25 for entrance to the event and pet photo with Santa, to several premium levels that include T-shirt, water bottle and or-ACES bag at higher costs.  If you register a team, you can be eligible to win a top fundraising prize of an overnight stay at the Westin Gaslamp plus Flagship Cruises Harbor Cruise for Two.
