Nov. 12, 2015 (San Diego) – KNSJ radio will hold a music summit this Thursday, Nov. 12 at its meeting room at 4246 Wightman Street in City Heights from 7 to  9 p.m. to develop and organize a stronger local music presence.

KNSJ radio is proud to provide a broadcast platform to feature local musicians and music as no other station in San Diego does.  So, musicians and music aficionados, join our summit with your ideas to develop this project.  Join other musicians, techies and music fans to imagine what radio knsj can become for the music scene in San Diego.

“We need local support to support local artist,” a press release from the station states.

KNSJ continues to expand its music programming and spotlighting local musicians, spoken word and other artists.   KNSJ’s Local Music Summit is to bring together local DJs, music producers, musicians and show hosts to talk about transforming the airwaves with new local radio shows and podcasts.

The station hopes to spawn a dozen other music shows from hip-hop to folk, reggae to Blues, Latin, Asian, African and Worldbeat.  Many of these programs will feature interviews and insights into the musicians and their creative processes.   KNSJ Music Summit meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month.
