March 23, 2017 (La Mesa) — Daniel Mitchell, 29, was arrested early Tuesday morning at his home on Blackton Drive in La Mesa after a SWAT team incident.

Mitchell reportedly fired into the home Monday evening following a dispute with his roommate, who fled the residence unharmed, 10 News reports.

La Mesa Police officers arrived but Mitchell ignored their orders to surrender, said Lt. Chad Bell, so a SWAT team arrived shortly before midnight and surrounded the home.  The suspect eventually came out and surrendered at 3:30 a.m., Times of San Diego reports.

He has been booked into County on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
