LA MESA MAN ROBBED AT GUNPOINT

November 1, 2012 (La Mesa)—This morning at 1:08 a.m., La Mesa Police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 8200 block of Lemon Avenue.  The  victim, 20, said he had just left his residence and walked across the street to retrieve his wallet and cell phone that he had left in his vehicle. While the victim was sitting in his vehicle, the suspect approached the driver side and tapped on the window with a black semi-automatic handgun. 

The victim opened his door and the suspect demanded property. The victim gave the suspect his wallet and cell phone. The suspect was last seen running east on Lemon Avenue towards Spring Street with the victim’s property. The victim was not injured during the robbery and the suspect was not located.

The suspect was described as a black male in his early 20’s, 5’10”, heavy build, with facial hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt that covered most of his head and face.
