April 26, 2011 (Alpine) -- On Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 6:00 pm, Linda Loegel, former owner of Fred's Old Fashioned Burgers (Mrs. Fred), will present a show and tell evening featuring her new book, Bumps Along the Way.
The book humorously recounts the highs and lows of a six-week, ten thousand mile, cross-country trip by her and Fred. There will also be a book signing. Get in, hang on and enjoy the ride, but don't expect Fred to let you drive!

Library Event
Please do come tonight to the Alpine Library at 6:00 pm. I would love to have you there. Also, if you would go on www.diversionpress.blogspot.com, then click on Blog Tour Directory, find my name on the right hand side under April 15th, click on it. That book is: If You Don't Like Worms, Keep Your Mouth Shut, published by Diversion Press. After writing a comment, when it says select a profile, I selected Google. I had an account with Google so I just had to remember my password. If you don't have an account, you can set one up. They will be picking comment writers at random to send a free book to. So pass the word along to your friends to sign on and leave a comment.
"Bumps Along the Way" - By Linda Loegel
I had the honor of writing the review of Linda Loegel's book, "Bumps Along the Way," in SDWriteway, an online newsletter for writers in San Diego. Her book brought back to me a lot of great memories for me and my family, for many of the places that she points out in her book, such as Cadillac Ranch and Niagara Falls, I have actually visited myself. I hope to get the opportunity to review her new book also, "If You Don't Like Worms, Keep Your Mouth Shut." This new book of hers is about her upbringing in Vermont. Linda is a member of the San Diego Writers/Editors Guild, as I am.
