May 18, 2018 (Ramona) -- Downtown Ramona is home to a collection of quaint and charming eateries. Marinade on Main uniquely presents itself as a beloved farm-to-table cafe. One Sunday afternoon, my colleague and I decided to stop in for brunch.
The restaurant boasts a warm and welcoming atmosphere; it is hard to not feel like part of the family when you walk through Marinade on Main’s doors. The friendly and attentive staff members greet you with genuine regard. The restaurant was at half capacity when we arrived and there was plenty of space for us to settle in. There was a quiet-but-industrious buzz that circulated the room. The charming rustic décor and industrial accents had me enamored with the place.
The restaurant prides itself on utilizing quality produce, seasonal ingredients, and supporting local breweries and wineries. Marinade on Main serves different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can count on farm-fresh eggs, sandwiches, and pancakes for breakfast. Their lunch and dinner menu offers comfort food, burgers, soups, and salads.
My colleague and I ordered egg scrambles and were impressed by the freshness of the ingredients. I could have promised you that the tomatoes and peppers in my scramble came straight from a garden! Also, their orange juice and house coffee will certainly boost your energy after a long day. I couldn’t think of a better way to start the afternoon!
Marinade on Main is conveniently located at 865 Main Street, Ramona, CA 92065 between the Pott Belly Shop and the Olde Ramona Hotel Gallery. Make sure to slow down as you approach the building; it’s all too easy to drive right past it!
Marinade is open Tuesday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (They are closed on Mondays). Their bar seating is on a first-come-first serve basis. However, they gladly take table reservations by phone: (760) 440-3171.
