July 13, 2016 (La Mesa) - Are you ready for something new in Downtown La Mesa?

Several Downtown La Mesa business owners have come together to form a new community event offering  La Mesa and surrounding community residents an exciting opportunity to discover new businesses and restaurants.

Beginning August 3, La Mesa Boulevard Stroll will happen on the first Wednesday of every month from 4 to 8 PM.  The event is family friendly and has something for everyone to enjoy. Celebrate and explore newly remodeled Village of La Mesa and visit participating businesses for exclusive fun, food and drink specials, and guest artists.  Participating businesses will be open late.  For a full list, visit www.LaMesaBoulevardStroll.com.

In addition to exclusive specials, businesses will be hosting local musicians, face painters and artists. While full event details are not yet released, the La Mesa Boulevard Stroll Community Group will be setting up a special meeting point with food trucks to start your evening—but don't fill up and miss some of the best restaurants in La Mesa. Future strolls will offer photography contests, historic walking tours, picnics in the park and more!  The community is invited to suggest their favorites and submit ideas to lamesaboulevardstroll@gmail.com

Attendees of the La Mesa Stroll will be able to pick up their business “passport” to participating businesses at the new "Lookout" and at Pret-a-Porter Salon & Spa (across from Vons), as well as at all participating businesses. Guests can also download the “passport” early at the website and get a head start.

Get your “passport” stamped at eight or more participating businesses to be entered into a monthly drawing. Prizes will be donated by different participating businesses and include items such as: $50 gift certificates for the new diners and boutiques, free dance classes, haircuts, massages, facials and more. Bring your friends and family out for a great evening and get reacquainted with the Historic Downtown La Mesa community.
