November 11, 2011 (El Cajon) – The mother of all East County celebrations takes place November 20, when the 65th annual Mother Goose Parade rolls through downtown El Cajon.

Enjoy floats, giant inflatable balloons similar to those in the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade, marching bands, clowns, and local dignitaries. This year, world famous Taylor Guitars, East County maker of instruments played by many musical stars, will be honored as Grand Marshal.

Begun during World War II back in 1946, the parade has grown to be the largest of its type west of the Mississippi.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. the corner of East Main Street and Magnolia Avenue, continuing eastbound on East Main Street to Second Street. Expect street closures for the parade and staging areas to begin at 7:00 a.m. that morning.

Arrive early for the best spot along East Main Street. For more information please visit
