November 27, 2023 (Dulzura) – A San Diego man, 29, sustained fatal injuries in a collision that occurred yesterday at 10:29 a.m. in Dulzura. The man was driving a 2004 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle eastbound on State Route 94, west of State Route 188 (Tecate Road) when he crossed double yellow lines and crashed into a 2015 Kia Sorrento.
The solo rider of the motorcycle died of his injuries while being transported to a hospital.
The driver of the Kia, a Spring Valley woman, 45, and her passenger, a Lemon Grove man, 47, had minor injuries but were not taken to a hospital.
This is an ongoing investigation; it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in this crash, says Officer Jared Grieshaber with the California Highway Patrol.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
