MURDER CHARGE FILED AFTER TEEN STABBING DEATH IN EL CAJON

September 1, 2012 (El Cajon) –  Able Torres, 29, has been arrested and charged with murder following a stabbing death in EL Cajon at 11 p.m. last night. The identity of the victim, 18, has not yet been released by authorities.

“El Cajon Police Department began receiving 911 calls reporting a fight between a group of male subjects in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 1050 East Lexington,” Sgt. W. Miller reported. “As police units were responding, the callers reported that one subject had been stabbed.”

When police arrived, the victim was found with life threatening injuries from a single stab wound. Officers began emergency life saving measures until paramedics arrived. Emergency medical personnel were unable to revive the victim and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Officers on scene were informed by witnesses that the suspect had entered a nearby apartment.  Officers were able to locate the suspect who was later taken into custody.

 During the investigation, Homicide Detectives were able to locate the knife used in the stabbing and the suspect was ultimately booked into County Jail for murder.
