August 6, 2011 (Rancho San Diego) – Last time appraiser Craig Helm came to town, one lucky East County resident discovered her yard sale find was actually a Ming Dynasty vase. Others learned that art or collectibles in their households were worth thousands of dollars.

Are there treasures in your attic, home, or garage? Find out Sunday, August 20 from 12-4 p.m. when Craig Helm brings his “Museum Roadshow” back to the Heritage of the Americas Museum conference room at 12110 Cuyamaca College Drive, on the college campus in the Rancho San Diego area of El Cajon.

A certified appraiser for over 50 years with ample experience in his field, Helm specializes in Native American, pre-Columbian, and Asian artifacts as well as Western memorabilia, guns, and antique pictures. (Sorry, he doesn’t identify or appraise gems, minerals, coins or stamps.)

Helm is volunteering his time to benefit the museum. A donation of $5 for every three items to be appraised is requested. (Collections count as a single item.)

To RSVP or for more information, call (619)670-5194 . To learn more about the museum, visit www.cuyamaca.edu/museum.
