October 12, 2010 (Bonita) – Assemblyman Marty Block (D-Lemon Grove) is co-sponsoring a ree workshop for homeowners on Saturday, October 16th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bonita Library, along with the Legal Aid Society of San Diego’s Pro-Bono Program and the Housing Opportunities Collaboration.

“As San Diegans continue to recover from the housing foreclosure crisis, too many people are still struggling to keep their home,” Block said. “If you are looking for options and resources to prevent foreclosure, I invite you to attend the HOME Clinic workshop.”

This free program provides participants with a one-stop shop of counseling resources and offers free loan modification assistance from an HUD approved housing counseling agency after your case has been reviewed. Additionally, referral to local law enforcement or to local professional associations will be available, affording resolution to some problems. Lastly, educational sessions on credit management, loan modification, bankruptcy and consumer protection will also be available at the clinic.

The Bonita Library is located at 4375 Bonita Road in Bonita. For more information, click here
