February 22, 2013 (La Mesa) – Bring friends and come on out for some terrific comedy tonight (Feb. 22) at Holiday Inn Mesa Grill,  8000 Parkway Drive to benefit East County Magazine (ECM).  Brew Ha Ha’s hilarious comedy team, Chris Clobber from HBO and Comedy Central and internationally known comic Diane Jean, will perform stand-up comedy for an evening of laughs. Show starts at 7 p.m., or come early to mix and mingle at 6 p.m. with our staff, readers and comics. Win prizes and surprises--including a Viejas gift basket, a winery tour, restaraunt gift certificates and more!

East County Magazine has won 45 journalism awards.  Our non-profit news site averages 150,000 visitors each month, also keeping readers safe and informed with the free Viejas Wildfire & Emergency Alerts. This spring, we will launch our own East County Magazine Live! radio show highlighting East County news, culture, events and special topics. Along with fundraising events, ECM must have the support of community sponsors in order to ensure ongoing radio airtime. So come on out to enjoy some great comedy and help us get on the air!  Proceeds will also help support our wildfire and emergency alert services. ECM is a division of the 501(c)3 nonprofit Heartland Coalition.

There will be more information regarding the radio shows and how the public can support them at the event. East County Magazine Editor, Miriam Raftery and her staff will also be present to speak with attendees, answer questions and to arrange sponsorship of the radio shows and segments.

Tickets are available at the door for $15. Seating is limited - reservations strongly recommended. Guests who are unable to attend, but would like to donate or sponsor may donate online or send a check (details at http://www.eastcountymagazine.org/donate ), or contact editor@eastcountymagazine.org.

No-host full bar and restaurant services will be available, as well as free parking. Some adult language/material. To ensure a seat, it is recommended to R.S.V.P. to (619) 922-9057.  Questions? Contact editor@eastcountymagazine.org.
