Yet another storm to follow next weekend

May 20, 2019 (San Diego’s East County) – Another late-season Pacific storm set to hit our region Tuesday night through Wednesday, bringing rain and strong westerly winds over local mountains, deserts and coastal areas. Gusts up to 81 miles an hour are forecast for Mount Laguna, with gusts over 60 mph forecast in Julian and Borrego Springs.

Rainfall levels will range from over an inch along coastal mountain slopes to less than a half inch further inland. Snow is forecast on Mount Palomar and other southern California peaks over 6,000 to 6,500 feet, says National Weather Service forecaster James Brotherton.

Enjoy some sunshine Friday, since another storm is likely to reach San Diego County next weekend.
