

May 12, 2011 (El Cajon) -- A free workshop titled "Merchandising to Sell" will be offered on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at First Baptist Church, 190 E. Douglas Avenue, in El Cajon. Presented by the El Cajon Center City Development Corporation and, California Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the workshop will provide local business owners with tips and personalized assistance in effective merchandising. Presented by Bruce Baker, Author of Dynamic Sales & Customer Service Techniques, Booth Design & Merchandising and Sell It. The workshop will help business owners and merchants create better display spaces and draw more sales.
7:30 am to 9:00 am: Visual Merchandising Strategies for Owners
6:00 pm to 7:30 pm: Sales & Marketing Techniques for Owners and Employees
Also, merchants may also arrange for individual store evaluations between 10:00 am and 4:30 pm. Evaluations are by appointment only. Selected merchants will receive on-the-spot survival strategies from Bruce Baker and the SBDC Consulting Team.
The Merchandising To Sell! event is free, thanks to Federal Jobs Bill funding. The event is co-sponsored by the El Cajon Community Development Corporation (CDC), The Small Business Administration (SBA), The San Diego East County Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Santee Chamber of Commerce.
